Congratulations!

On Saturday, September the 19th, Dana & Jeff joined hands to become one. We had the honor of photographing this beautiful couple on their special day. From hair and makeup to the first dance, we captured their entire first day together as husband and wife. We wish you all the best in your new life!

Celebrate Family Traditions!

When Sharleen and Travis asked me to photograph their toddler, Lola, I don't think that any of us thought that we would be starting a family tradition.
But when their 2nd child, Lennon approached that same age, another portrait was needed to join that of Lola's. Just this past summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Lou. This delightful little girl is the latest member of the Blake family to have her portrait grace their walls.

How rewarding it is to have played a part in capturing this family's history!

Portrait of the Month- "Tyler"

Upon meeting Tyler for the first time, you just get the sense that he has it together. His quiet confidence will take him far in life. His mother wanted a portrait of her remarkable 18 year old, on the eve of his journey to his chosen career.

"Annie"

Heather and Daniel commissioned us to photograph their daughter, Annie at 12 months old. They wanted something special to remind them of this wondrous time of so many firsts.

Due to her young age, we agreed that she needed to be captured at her best time of day- early morning. I'm not typically a morning person, but this little girl's joy was infectious. It was play time and my camera and I were ready!

August 2nd through August 15th we will be available for Family Portrait Sessions in the Kelowna/Mara Lake area of BC. Contact our office for details.

Last summer, I had the pleasure of photographing the Andrukow family of Mara Lake, BC. It was obvious that Chad, Alex and Chantelle valued their family time at the lake as much as their parents. Summer is so cherised here north of the 49th parallel, and Mara Lake is a spectacular setting with its glorious combination of water and mountains.

In full swing of wedding season, it is truly enjoyable to take a moment and celebrate a successful marriage. Clarence and Margaret Christensen just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to you both! They commissioned me to photograph them and their wonderful children and their families. I cherish the thought that when they look at the portraits that we created for them, they will remember all the love they felt that day.

Family Portraits in Arizona

We are going to be in Phoenix, Arizona twice during the month of May, taking family portraits. Robert will be creating photographic art in the Valley of the Sun from May 2nd through May the 9th, and again starting the week of the 24th. Portrait of the Month

This portrait was created for Monzie to celebrate her senior year of school in Phoenix, Arizona. We spent a couple of hours having fun taking portraits on the grounds of the famous Biltmore Hotel. Using the beautiful warm, late day desert light, we were able to capture Monzie's true inner beauty.

A Dog's Life

At this year's provincial print competition for PPOC Alberta, Robert was awarded a trophy for photographic excellence for the above print, "A dog's life". The image was created at a client's home in Scottsdale, Arizona last year.

Portrait of the Month

This month, my favorite image is of young Kyleigh. She really has a smile that can light up a room. I felt that a serious pose wouldn't tell her story accurately, so we went with a fun carefree look, which she was very comfortable in. This studio image was completed with a soft filter, and a little bit of painting, to help give it a more artistic feel.
